#FanService. That's a great term for when political media plays to a specific ideological audience. Making them angry or scared of people who don't think like themselves. Never presenting alternative perspectives in a fair light, much less inviting their critics on their shows. Encouraging their audience to connect all the bad stuff into one grand conspiracy.
