I really liked #ThePower on Amazon and I am sad it's the kind of show that won't get a second season, especially after the #SAGAFTRA #WGA strike. And it had such a great season finale cliffhanger.

So I started watching the Amazon adaptation of #ThePower last night. First 3 episodes all appeared on Friday. And…uh. It doesn’t seem great. It’s been a while since I read the book, which I quite liked and had some nice ideas.
The show just seems… lazy? It relies heavily on stereotypes and tired tropes. Am I missing something? Really wanted to like this.
Also the subtitles are wild. They alternate between US and UK spelling by episode, not by speaker.
