I love that rewatching Lord of the Rings is a winter ritual for so many of us. It just feels so right. Some years I've added in The Hobbit trilogy too. Now I'm considering adding rewatches of The Rings of Power in for some years. It's so nice to immerse myself back in that world.

Just finished watching the first two episodes of #LordOfTheRings: #TheRingsOfPower.
Quite enjoyable so far, though it feels like they are taking quite some liberties with the source material? Then again, I can't say I've read much of it myself.

Most of the discussion I've so far seen seems to suggest that #TheStranger is #Radagast (because of his interactions with the fireflies) or, more likely, #Gandalf (because of his association with fire), but perhaps it's one of the #BlueWizards, #Alatar or #Pallando, the #Istari we know so little about? Then again, I guess they would've arrived together.

Il mio grosso problema con #TheRingsOfPower è questo:

- 500 c/a SE primi segni del risveglio di Sauron;
- 1000 c/a SE Sauron inizia a costituire Barad-dur a Mordor;
- 1200 c/a SE Sauron inganna i fabbri dei Noldor e viene cacciato da Gil-Galad;
- 1350 SE Celebrimbor diventa signore dell'Eregion; Galadriel e Celeborn, già spostati, emigrano verso Lòrien;
- 1500 SE c/a inizia la forgiatura degli Anelli del Potere (i primi 16, esclusi i Tre e l'Unico);
- 3372 SE, 1700 anni dopo (!) nasce Elendil.
