Lo que algunos denominan retro rock o garaje rock revival es un género que nació en los albores del siglo XXI y rememoraba parte de la música generada 30 años atrás. Y este hecho nos puede marcar varias cosas pero fundamentalmente nos habla de un pasado glorioso. En ese contexto aparece, el 28 de octubre del 2003, #RoomOnFire, segundo disco de #TheStrokes. El título de “salvadores del rock” con los que habían sido etiquetados en su debut dos años antes parecía exagerado, sin embargo, a criterio de quien garabatea este texto, los capitaneados por Julián Casablanca no solo superaron el desafío sino que empezaron a escribir su propia y exitosa historia.
