@publius @gemlog @vfrmedia The difference between #ThermonuclearWar and other sorts of war is a difference in degree, not really in kind. We are perfectly capable of killing mass numbers of soldiers and civilians with conventional bombs and fire bombs, to say nothing of chemical and biological weapons. However, thermonuclear war is inherently large-scale.

I can play poker stakes with pennies and nickels, but if you're betting hundred dollar bills, the game is necessarily one of high stakes.
