Didn't vote as I love both. @xmpp is stable and proven, with dev happening in a more decentralized, community based manner. @matrix seems to be developing faster, with advanced use cases (eg. #thirdroom ), greater adoption, more polished and well maintained clients (eg #Element, #FluffyChat, #Schildichat, #Cinny etc)
Watching #Dino and #Snikket on #XMPP for usability and #ElementX on #Matrix. All need to be friendlier/less technical for new users.
Both better than #WalledGardens!

I would very much like to set up my own home in the #OpenSource #FreeSoftware #Metaverse, decorate a room for people to come visit, put the gingerbread house I scanned somewhere...
afaik #ThirdRoom doesn't support custom rooms yet, but that integration would be nice to add someday

Le #metavers de #Matrix est en construction, sous le nom de #ThirdRoom. C'est plus joli que celui de #Meta (#Facebook) du peu que j'ai vu des deux... lol.
Bon, sinon c'est vraiment pas mon délire, perso', mais je préfère qu'avant même que ce devienne un usage courant (j'espère que ce ne sera jamais le cas) une alternative #libre se construise histoire de pouvoir rentrer dans un rapport de force...
