At the beginning of the pandemic, the fediverse set up a fundraiser for users who didn’t receive a US stimulus check. Enthusiastic supporters engaged in #ThirstAid - when the fundraiser hit set milestones, said supporters would post nudes or other lewd content of themselves.

#thirstaid is one of many testaments to what this community can do in order to help ease the stress of the current events. the whole thing has erected a pillar of hope for me more than anything else. it really helps stop me from falling into some hopeless bottomless pit mentally. i wish i could contribute nudes too, but personally im barely holding on mentally lol. still, thank you. not just for what you did and are doing, but for what you stand for and who you all are as individuals.

if the fundraiser reaches $20k at any point i will rant about horny things involving my characters and lore and answer any and all questions y'all might have about them as soon as i hear about the goal being met
