@Mari_Thomas @emsquared @thesweetcheat It gets fairly regular articles but they're written by, y'know, journalists who want a new Twitter, so they're always equivocal. Getting press is a double edged sword - attract loads more nice people and tip the balance one way, or too many other people who want more bird site. It's tip top as it is. Don't try and fix what ain't broke.

How am I seeing so much twitteresque clap trap in my timeline? It isn't from people I follow but still, it's filled with political rants without CWs and partially written paragraphs that have little meaning on their own. 90% of the photos I see have no alt text and most that do might as well not bother, 'trees with sunlight' or 'Street in no one knows where' really doesn't help the visually impaired.
