. First-time viewing. I can find little English-language coverage of this film, so am not entirely sure what to expect.

#ThisNightIllWatchYour Blu-ray release of BEVERLY HILLS COP (Martin Brest, 1984). #EddieMurphy is on fire here, but the rest of the cast are damn good too. I miss Hollywood movies like this. Grounded plots, w/sharp dialogue + targeted at an adult audience.
When I was a #WorkingClass kid growing up during the 80s, Murphy's streetwise persona - just on the acceptable side of insolent - in made him something of a hero to myself + my peers. I truly miss that era of Hollywood stars.

#ThisNightIllWatchYour Koch Media Blu-ray release of #TobeHooper's INVADERS FROM MARS (1986). I always liked it; in widescreen and projected large, it's even more impressive than I remembered. A few missteps here and there, but I dig the mixture of #80s kids action and #horror/#SF.
