#ThreePines - based on the #MurderMystery series by #LouisePenny, a surprisingly compassionate & ethical #InspectorGamache of the Canadian Surete visits the small village of Three Pines to solve a murder. He becomes enmeshed in the villager's lives as he battles police corruption. Casting for Gamache was excellent but only superficial attention is paid to the eclectic villagers & Three Pines itself. The choice to make them both seem more sinister than welcoming was frustrating. Amazon Prime

I'm watching #ThreePines🌲🌲🌲 and while I'm thoroughly enjoying this whole Canadian Gothic vibe, I have to admit it really cheeses me off when they don't translate the French correctly for the subtitles.

I enjoyed the #ThreePines TV mystery series based on Louise Penny’s books. The village scenes were filmed in Saint-Armand, Quebec, which is near where my Irish ancestors settled in the 1850s. Fun to picture them there, with less murder.
