#GrossePointeBlank (1997) with John Cusack and Minnie Driver was also backward looking and great fun.

In seinem zweiten Roman: "Abkasssiert - Die tödliche Gier der Cum-Ex-Zocker" erzählt er von den Verfehlungen der Judikative, die in diesem Finanzskandal bisher höchstens am Rande beleuchtet wurden - Gruß an Dietmar Gosch, bis 2016 Vorsitzender Richter am Bundesfinanzhof. Ich wünsche dem Buch alles Gute und freu mich schon auf weitere Abenteuer mit Zink.

229 followers · 2949 posts · Server rollenspiel.socialActually, #Nolan's #Oppenheimer was scheduled for today on the supposedly largest #Imax screen in the world, a test for #Dune2. Unfortunately the #cinema is virtually full - lucky for the operating company, bad luck for us.
Not too bad though, I'm not a big fan of the director, his films are more often a miss than a hit. #Tenet, for example, I already stopped three times - annoyed and bored.
Maybe we'll get fine tickets next time.

On Friday, we (re) watched #Brick, a #neonoir #thriller at a #highschool.
Yesterday followed #TheFrenchConnextion, in my opinion a #hardboiled #thriller. Both are very atmospheric, bleak and exciting. #Recommended!
When I compare such #films with today's successful rubbish like #JohnWick and/or #TheFastandFurious I feel sick. Modern #Hollywood #cinema is mostly pastorised filth to the point of brain death.

Ja, sie ist brutal und befremdlich. Leider hatte ich noch keine Gelegenheit, sie mir ganz anzusehen. Bis dahin, fand ich sie indes einnehmend. Das Remake von #Amazon #Prime schaltete ich nach ein paar Minuten ab.

Anyway, I don't know why no one has made a #movie of the book yet. Especially the witty as well as "pictorial" (?) prose are arguments for the author.

Just before the end: Jonathan Harper's #SheRidesShotgun (de: Die Rache der Polly McClusky) is a very violent nightmare full of drugs, (ex) convicts, cartels, Nazis, teddybears and blood is thicker than water! The #hardboiled #thriller reminds me of Jim Thompson's #Getaway, the movies #Gloria and #Leon. Might appeal to fans of #SonsofAnarchy or #BriggsLand?
I like the bleak and concise prose!
Beware: Not for the faint of hearted!

Ich höre schon auf, einer geht noch! Seit Martins ersten drei (de: sechs) #ASoIaF (#TV: #GOT) Büchern, ist mir kein so mitreißendes (Urban) #Fantasy - #Buch wie Lee's #JadeCity untergekommen! Eine krasse Mischung aus #TheGodfather #kungfuHustle (#IntenalAffairs #NewWorld(?)). Ich finde ja ohnehin, aus Asien (#Korea, früher #Hongkong) kommen die besten #Action-#Thriller).
Hier ist der Jade-Magie-Drogen-Twist beeindruckend. Sicher nicht für jederfrau/-mann, aber ich bin sehr begeistert! Enjoy.

Mehr möchte ich dazu nicht sagen. Davon abgesehen, #DerPass (#S03) evoziert beachtliche Stimmungsbilder, die mich auf verschiedenen Ebenen kriegen. Für mich (aus Gründen) eine der besten #Thriller Serien zurzeit. Düster - ich habe gewarnt! Enjoy. #ymmv

Großes Kino! Die letzte Staffel nenne ich in einem Atemzug mit #TrueDetective (#S01).
In hundert kalten Wintern nicht hätte ich damit gerechnet, dass so ein stimmungsvolles Bravurstück aus Österreich und/oder Schland stammt. Ich hoffe, sie vermasseln es nicht auf den letzten Metern! Musik, Schnitt, Schauspielende, Farben(!) , Sujets... Da geht richtig was.
