I did it using #USB3, probably it would even work with #USB2. It also doesn't require a Lenovo machine, I ran the flash program on a self-built PC.

The primary difference has been Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 4 speeds, also Thunderbolt 4 can support up to 8k displace.
