Guy who builds homebrew cartridges has something called "OS64" by Zebra Systems, for the TS2068. As far as I can tell the only advantages it adds is the 64-column text editing mode and support for long-deceased printers. Has anybody used OS64?

Comparison of joystick connector signals between the Timex Sinclair 2068 Technical Manual and traditional Atari folklore. There's a minor divergence regarding pins 8 and 9 but aside from that they just work and no rewiring is necessary using Atari-type joysticks. I haven't checked but I think the CX10 probably doesn't use those lines anyway.

Update:

- Corrected to reflect that the Timex Computer 2048 never existed out of the lab. Timex Portugal did pursue that project further and produced the independently after the Timex Sinclair joint venture fell apart. Most TC2068s were sold in Poland.

- Added the glaring omissions of the and the .

Somebody told me to delete the Spectrum Next but this is about recorded history. What exists, exists.

Even against a densely textured background, the quick reference design of Timex/Sam spaceship that I made in a few minutes could still look relatively decent. And it would look better on a ZX Spectrum Next.

@empathicqubit It seems to be a board that latches onto the cartridge slot and replaces the Timex ROM with a copy of the Spectrum ROM.

There's even a video showing how it works

Never saw anything like this before, of course I don't trust anything like this.

But maybe other people are knowledgeable about this computer model.
