The small fountain (left) in our garden in #Bangkok had uninvited visitors this night. I managed to carefully fish out the lovers with a net and brought them to a park nearby. They did not bother and happily continued their activity (right). Any specialist around to identify this species? #Thailand #Toads #Bangkok #Garden

Usually at this time of year, ponds are full of jelly-like frog and toadspawn. But conservationists have found the habitats to be bare, with no amphibians or their young to be seen.

Frogs and Toads. These are all regular visitors thanks to the stream at the bottom of the garden. I call it a stream; technically, it's a ditch that takes the surface water runoff from ours and the surrounding houses to end up in the nearby river. It doesn't stop the local wildlife from making good use of it, though.

East Sussex, England. A home-made sign positioned just before the road entered a wood, no panoramic views, just a narrow country road flanked by flood plain. ‘Toads at Night’. I’d stumbled across a place of magical, mysterious & hidden energies where what seemed to be the sound of vibrating colour was coupled to a strange simultaneous anchoring and dislocation.
