More of a stroll, I'll call it a recovery day after two days of sub-14 minute average. Lots of steps, no exercise.

I'm not finding much in the way of fungi, lately, but wildflower season has definitely begun! I took this photo on a walk this afternoon.

I went for a walk today in a favorite wood and found that the Virginia Bluebells are blooming.

I was taking a little hike after my run today when I found this fungi. Note the slug trying to hide behind the mushroom.

#TodaysWalk didn't happen, so here's something more from yesterday's futile quest.

#TodaysWalk came courtesy of a tiresome errand, and so I made the most of it, taking in a view of the Palace of Westminster, the Covid Memorial Wall, the Post Office Tower, some unseasonal tourists and a few glancing rays of what might have been sunshine.
If there's been any progress on the Thames Tideway (a tunnel intended, in some joyous future, to divert the sewage that's dumped upstream of the Thames Barrier to a less populous stretch of the estuary), it wasn't obvious.
With Mardi Gras in the air, #TodaysWalk took me to the artists' quarter of #Peckham, a would-be trustafarian zoo subtly crammed into the ruins of formerly productive industries, where a new generation of creative workers is attempting to work and sleep, not necessarily in that order.
The graffiti was made by the Japanese artists Fate, Imaone and Suiko, supported by the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation, during the London Mural Festival of 2020. So now you know.
In England, in the 18th Century, the owners of great houses engaged expert garden designers to create intriguing landscapes to act as appropriate preludes to the architectural marvels beyond.
I was reminded of that on #TodaysWalk, which took me to the pigeon-studded sanctuary of Tooting Gardens, which provides a much-needed refuge for all the patients and workers at St. George's Hospital who haven't yet given up smoking.
