One of my Christmas traditions is watching National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Watching it right now and I’m cutting it a little close this year. My other movie tradition is the George C Scott version of A Christmas Carol - the best version IMO. Ma grand'mère était une catholique convaincue, très pieuse, très pratiquante. Dans toutes les pièces, des crucifix. Au mur, ou sur les meubles. Ceux des murs souvent garnis de brins de buis, bénis lors du dimanche des Rameaux. Et censés protéger la maison de la foudre et de l'incendie.
Le crucifix ci-dessous, sur sa table de nuit, est en laiton et date du 19e. A côté, elle gardait le livre de "Prières de la bonne mort".
