- Someone took my window seat but I'd rather not cause an upset asking them to move (and the weather is crap today anyway)

I feel like i want to write about how ... Underdeveloped Canadian rail is, but WikiVoyage has a good writeup, and I imagine others have too.

I feel like being much smaller countries, plus the atrocities of the two world wars playing out in Europe, destroying major infrastructure, helped in providing a ground framework for this. #TrainTravel
