Folks, if you are straight and/or cis, still consider attending a #TransDayOfRememberance event today. Spend your time there being quiet and listening, supporting, and watching out for bad actors.

Folks are going to be on edge today, and if you consider yourself an ally this is your chance to make them feel just a little bit more safe and supported. If you're able, be ready to step in and put yourself between the event and any harassers.

And of course be respectful if an event says they DON'T want support, that's their choice as well and they are free to make it.

On #TransDayOfRememberance, as we remember those we've lost, let's also pledge to fight like hell for those who are still here.

The police don't care about you or your neighbors. So if you care about the safety of those around you, join a #CommunityDefense organization or a #MutualAid organization. Be there for your neighbors. We can keep us safe, but it requires organization and readiness.
