For me, I kind of saw a huge change between when I was on #TransTwitter 3-4 years back (for 6 months) and coming back the last year

We just don't deserve all that hate flowing around us there

It's a nice way to get people thinking about rebuilding community and what do we call ourselves now? It helps bind us together 🤗

It's been emotional seeing our #TransTwitter community flocking here. It HAS been a lifeline for many over the years to find support, find others & that includes me a few years back. A phone directory for the #trans community?

We need to build better here, it IS a safer place. Tomorrow I need a joyful day: no #Trans or #ukpolitics

But maybe:

A name matters, like #TransTwitter was us before... it was toxic by the end but that's *not* because of trans folk

Many of us found people there just by knowing the hashtag. It was like a key that opened the door to a global community? Me, and many others too

Yeah I'm passionate about our people! 💜

First off, the disruption and potential destruction of #TransTwitter is a massively negative impact to the community and will have real-world effects in people’s lives. With that, I feel that it should also be remembered that both the algorithm & community dis-proportionally platformed voices that were largely young, white, & “passable”, and made it exceptionally difficult to see voices outside of that without intentionally looking for & following them.

But I DO believe passionately in building a healthier community here and we HAD a name before ie #TransTwitter... that was a *good thing* and bound us together. I used it to find people 4 years ago. It helped me! 💜

There's a few wacky ideas but I'd rather get them, at least in chats!
