You know those trees with the softball-sized green brain balls? They are called Osage Orange. The wood is crazy dense/tough. Natives used its wood for their bows. The French called the tree Bois D'Arc (sounds like bowed ark) which translates to wooden bow. Right now around the Midwest the leaves are gone and the balls are a danglin’. They look hilarious.
