Operation Master's gameplay sounds like it's gone a bit too far in terms of clever design faceting. A neat structure that might be more tiring than not. But the graphic design just seems undeniable.

Nokosu Dice in particular looks intoxicatingly engineered, with dice drafting layered on to a trick-taking chassis. That the 13th *undrafted* die sets the trump suit and rank is just incredible. And that your *unplayed* die defines your bid at the hand's end is where I find myself swooning.

I had assumed, with the promises of the mechanical space, that a great age of tricktaking design must have already passed, but that the games eluded me. Turns out it's only recently gotten underway.
