Ok, boomer speaking. The UK "triple lock" on increases to state pensions is coming back to the news. Should it be reviewed?
It started with an all-party review (2006) considering poverty, longevity etc that recommended BOTH a triple lock and increases to the pension age. And sex equality too.
Let's have a new conversation about low payouts from DC schemes, poverty, ethnicity, gender and longevity. Anyone here writing a party manifesto?

Of course the #Conservatives have never been the party of youth, their base has and always will older voters: #pensioners with no mortgages and lots of savings. That base remains now despite their abject failure in lots of areas such as #NHS and #socialcare but things like the #TripleLock keep them on board.

However the problem for them is that elderly members is that they won't all be there after a long spell in opposition. Where do new members come from after 20 years of ignoring youth? 3/
