A quick thanks to @ottawatom for running a great #Troubleshooters #RPG campaign over the past few weeks. I discovered that Angel Rusee, my French veterinarian and gun bunny, is also highly paranoid. Despite (or because of?) her Empathy.

Also very glad her few Ranged Combat (gun) rolls were favourable, since the weapon kind of became her motif. So much so, that I don't even mind that her sneaking roll was terrible and set off the final battle a tad early. :)

Why are players always making up so complicated plans? At last night's #Troubleshooters session, we looked at our notes from the last session, involving getting fake passports, convincing someone to poison the bad guys, misunderstandings and the Portugese secret police. What where we thinking?

@satsuma yeah, so how to make it fun? I liked how #Troubleshooters made it not only palatable, but fun and empowering. A really sweet hint that D&D needs a metacurrency, as to bring that option in.

The one thing that happens in drama, but almost never in #ttrpg because player fight to the death, always, is being captured. I played in a session of #Troubleshooters and was handed a *massive* pile of metacurrency when we agreed to be captured. That's how it's done.

Also the fact that we all rolled all above 90 in a roll-low percentile system...

Today, I created my #Troubleshooters rpg character. Jean-Michel Lestrange, a French extreme sports & explorer who travels the world & helps folks out. I had fun with the name since J-M Lestrange can be read as “J’aime l’étrange” (I love the strange) which is kinda the type of stories I imagine his solo series is. :) #ttrpg #LeTTRPG

Okay, a poll! Here's the shortlist of games I'm thinking of running for three players starting next week:

Campaign is six months long (4th player on paternity leave). Rules medium or lighter. No fantasy (we're on break from 13th Age).

Played our fifth (?) session of the #Troubleshooters #rpg campaign yesterday. Thanks to the skill of the GM and the enthusiasm of the players, it really feels like the Franco-Belgian comics it emulates.

Action comedy in the style of Spirou et Fantasio, the game makes me wish I could draw better. I'm pretty happy with my character portrait, at least.

Meine eigenen waren gestern #Troubleshooters und heute ein Megadungeon für Swords&Wizardry.

So, dann mal sehen, wie das ganze weitergehen wird.... Es bleibt spannend. Werden Paul, Eloise und Yurika doch noch zusammen arbeiten? Was werden sie auf Filakes finden? Wie wird der Oktopus reagieren? Werden sie Elena retten?
