Local timeline (mstdn.social) on #Tusky never able to load.

Anyone has any idea as to why?
Happened with different networks.

Shows a network error, even tho network works just fine, on the rest of the app (like posting this toot, home timeline, other profiles, etc).

Posting to #BlueSky is fiddly. In #Android, there's a share to feature which includes #Mastodon app #Tusky (which I use) - this makes sharing a doddle. With BlueSky, you need to cut and paste stuff and it's fiddly. Still, don't have to add fiddle #hashtags which seem to be important in the Mastodontic world.

Is it possible on #Tusky or with plain Mastodon to select the langages that appear in my homepage feed?

I'm getting tired of hiding German or Spanish accounts (Same thing for others, it's just the two languages that I come across the most.)

I'm using #Firefox to run #Mastodon on a desktop with lots of columns. Don't see all #mentions in the #Notifications tab. #Tusky on Google Pixel 3A XL. Not filtering anything.

You reminded me to follow #synthwave here. There's some cool posts under that hashtag. I like using #Megalodon on Android else it's the web version straight from a browser, but #Tusky is cool also, and I also use #FediLab app. I follow all sorts of things but a couple are #JohnMastodon and #TwitterMigration.

@tomvdp True, that only works on the "official" #Mastodon #app. On #Tusky you can browse the local timeline, but that's more interesting on more specific instances.

For what it's worth, the Mastodon app improved a lot with the past updates. I now use it more often than Tusky to be honest.

#Tusky shows a Translate button when you select text.
Just the way I like it, since I like to try and translate myself. Often, that's enough for me to get the big picture. This way, I hope to improve my language skills

@Tusky Just installed the newest #Tusky version and looked at the screenshots again. Aren't they a bit old now? I mean It still represents Tusky very well, but as a longer user I can tell that the version in the screenshots is a few iterations behind...

Have just set up #shitter as an alternative to #tusky , ui is nicely blue and good for reading and is generally appealing despite the name. Afai can see it's actually called sh1tt3r for what it's worth 🤔 . Anyway, I have found out how to post a status but haven't found a toot button yet so will have to read up on it a bit.
