Installed python and ran an script (https://github.com/timhutton/twitter-archive-parser) to extract a #twitterarchive with pictures to a local device.

Can anyone with experience changing their #Twitter handle **while a #TwitterArchive was in progress** confirm or deny that #ChatGPT is correct here? I just want to be sure.
(I would like to change the handle of my possibly-soon-to-banned account to something else, so that I can then register a placeholder account — one that won’t violate Musk’s stupid rules — with my current handle, just to avoid someone later snapping up that handle after my main account is, perhaps, deleted.)

I was just going through my #TwitterArchive and found a load of DMs I just never got notified about. About half were spam, but the other half weren't.

So if you ever DM'd me on #Twitter and I just ignored you, sorry! 😅

#Mastadon seems more stable with notifications so far, though I haven't had any DMs yet, hopefully they are more reliable!

I have heard that Twitter data archive export was broken. I had started to lose hope, but after several days the exports finally finished. I think I requested the archive of my main account on 11/17 and it arrived on 11/23. My alt with a lot fewer posts went faster. So be patient and check your notifications/emails. Request your archive now, God knows how long this service will continue functioning.
