I joined LinkedIn years ago in order to stop the endless invitations to join LinkedIn. Yet one of the unexpected consequences of preparing for possible #Twittergeddon has been discovering that my LinkedIn feed is actually interesting.

How did a Ponzi scheme go so wrong? What other examples are there of irritating online phenomena that turned out to be useful despite themselves?

It will be interesting to see how the #TwitterExodus will play out for the tons of users that have bought thousands of fake followers throughout the years.

I would venture to guess that not only the number of interactions will decrease but the quality of those conversations will only go downhill.

What really bakes my noodle about #Twittergeddon is how it turns the spotlight on a global elite & their 'supremacism'.

Read #msm and you'd think the only supremacist discourse was #whitesupremecy but the same delusions of grandeur which link personal vanity to racism or sectarianism in the service of autocracy can be found globally. #mbs is not just a narcissist but a believer in arab-islamic triumphalism. #modi ditto but paint it #hindutva. Every tyrant the same mutually exclusive delusion.

I am loving #Twittergeddon cos I despise moronic oligarchs like #Musk. Also cos of #Saudi interest in #socialmedia like #twitter which they have weaponised for at least a decade.

A culture of lies & unreason has been pushed and funded by #mbs & his allies as a global strategy to destroy #democracy & give hegemony to authoritarian tyranny.
