Yesterday would have been my 14-year anniversary on #Twitter.

Since I only used the chronological timeline & read via #Twitterrific (and sometimes on the website via lists) it was always wonderful for me, right until I closed my account in December. But the ethical problems of staying were just too overwhelming.

And I'm very glad to have made the move to Mastodon — different and also wonderful for me. I'm making different following choices: much less political punditry, many more bird photos.

@chockenberry @bigzaphod are there any plans to keep the Ollie Twitterrific iMessage stickers? The original stickers are some of my most-used and favorite ever and they’re not available anymore as far as I can tell. I still have the app installed. #twitterrific

Users of these #apps initially thought it was a #Twitter glitch. Only a week later, the social media company admitted to deliberately blocking external apps.
Now he wants money from the #developers
Personally I think that Musk is digging his own grave and that of the social media platform.
I will never return there, not a penny from me to Musk, never, ever.

Every now and then I still instinctively open this

One reason why I used to like #Twitter more than any other social network was the fact that I could use it as a news aggregator, with the amazing #Twitterrific Mac and iOS app making it a breeze to check my timeline. Well, we all know what happened to all the Twitter clients, and so it was time for me to say goodbye to the platform and start paying more attention to posts on here. A week later, I do feel much more at home, my timeline still isn’t as active but the content does seem better.

So uh, where do I put these themes lol #Twitterrific

@gruber do the Cowboys have the Niners right where they want them? Without #Twitterrific its tough to find your feed.

Continuing on with my thoughts on the latest #twitter third-party app issues: my heart goes out to all the #developers of third party apps, including #twitterrific, #spring, #tweetbot and many others. their income will be reduced, and we have lest hours of effort on their part to create top-notch #twitter apps. I hope that you can enter the #mastodon space and thereby continue your great work.

#Twitter is now formally banning third-party apps, forcing users to only use its official apps to access the service.

Time to remove #twitterrific, #tweetbot and the #twitter app itself.

Ich hatte mir, kurz bevor die 3rd Party Apps wie Tweetbot nicht mehr auf Twitter zugreifen konnten, einen Twitter Account zugelegt um diversen Entwicklern zu folgen, die es bei Mastodon leider nicht gibt. Heute lese ich, dass Twitter sämtlichen 3rd Party Apps fortan den Zugriff via API verweigert.

I just did the swipe to Twitterrific and remembered that’s not a thing anymore.
