Found this photo in a cupboard at work, of the street I work on, in 1860. The building on the furthest right is where my place of work stands now, although it's not the same building. Strange to think how long ago this was, and how recognisable the street still is. Palmerston was PM, the American civil war hadn't happened yet, and Jack the Ripper was still nearly thirty years away
