Interesting hot take here from #TyskySour, that what twitter was lacking isn't so much it's content moderation or free speech (as #ElonMask claims) but it's an Engineering problem. Some say if he turns it into an everything app like Wechat he could make it more successful.

@Lemmy yeah, I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. So it seems being the incumbent has some advantages in Brazil in being able to mobilise the state to work on you behalf (i.e. Bolsonaro set up road blocks in pro PT areas) and election spending isn't really capped, so Bolsonaro could spend big. Media and Business interests are generally aligned.
