A quick tip on how to loop montages in #UE5, because I found it hard to figure out until I found the correct forum thread.
Looping in montages is controlled by sections, and what their "next section" is set to. To loop a simple montage which only has the default section, you click on that weird anonymous checkbox to the right of "Default" (IKR π) and set Next Section to itself. Voila, a looping montage.
If you have multiple sections you just set the last one's next section to the first, obvs

Remember folks, friends don't let friends cast to #UE5 interfaces and call them directly! Use Implements<> and Execute_Foo instead.

In an attempt to improve the ability to collaborate, #UE5 's new default map format can be a huge pain if it doesn't support your VCS solution, and sadly they don't support mercurial.
Last night I spent 5hr setting up a new P4 :perforce: server and attempting to populate it with a copy of #UE5 :unreal:. I expect between today and this weekend I'll have another 10hr to get everything up and built, leaving me back at an empty project.

This is reproduced behaviour with DX12 since unreal engine 5.0 - We have to make a payed account at UDN to get this issue addressed I guess... This is caused by Niagara and is connected to a bug in Raytracing / only with DX12 - reproduced on many different systems with RTX graphic cards. π’

The fact that you can't iterate over TMaps in Blueprints is really annoying. You can work around the limitation, but it involves an extra loop for each item. It greatly limits their usage to mostly code and makes you turn to custom small USTRUCT more often than not when you know it will need to be iterated over BPs.

Unreal 5.3 just released. But as usual with my project I will have either to wait for all the plugins to be updated, or update them myself. For 5.2 we had to wait almost 2 month for FMOD to release an update.
The bigger the project, the more annoying it gets to upgrade Unreal.
But I prefer to keep my project up to date rather than stuck with older version.
