@johnniesan yes it's a long standing argument as to whether there should be seeding - which existed for the #UKChampionship, or a flat draw like for many other tournaments, meaning you have to get through qualifying.

It's easier to stay up in the rankings if you get seeded into the first round of a tournament, unless that tournament doesn't give ranking points for the first round. Big debate on all this.
