Inspired by the sense of possibility & community here & also bc I’m feeling some Pennsylvania pride today, I’ll share a more personal form of . This is my great grandfather, Martin, born in 1900. He spent his entire career running a linotype for the local newspaper, The Morning Call, in Allentown, PA. This photo is from his retirement in 1977, the year I was born.
