I like how about 5 years ago tried to do this voucher program with for night and sunday service and the entire community was like "no, unacceptable" and absolutely did not buy into it?

Check out the night and sunday service coming up. The single digit routes aren't fixed route service, they're share taxis that you can either flag down like it's a taxi, call ahead or hail with the gopass app, and can change routes at subhubs or stations.

To make things more complicated, I don't live in the city. Which means there is no public transport and very little of interest within walking distance. So, if I wanted to go anywhere my two options are either asking a family member to drive me somewhere, which wouldn't work as my family works and I don't feel very close to them in the first place, or taking an unreasonably priced into the city.
What this means, of course, is I almost never leave my home.

Took an ride in a this weekend and the driver — unprompted — immediately starting justifying why he was driving a Tesla. Poor dude must be going through some things.

In the long run, this will help the , because will not use petroleum.

An -like system for summoning cars will also cut down on emissions because people will no longer need to leave cars idling in cold/hot weather, for a comfortable riding temp, or for defrosting windshields (that's a big use of gasoline in my area, near Chicago).

The important evolution they need at this point, is a safer, better battery system.

I have a friend who designs equip for the . The industry goal is to eventually (years from now) have fully . They anticipate these cars will be unaffordable for most people, and (as we evolve to do more ) many will not need to use them often enough to buy one.

The industry sees fully vehicles being used much like / , where many users will order a car to come get them, another to take them home.

1. Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber

Reading through their shareholder report for I am a little surprised and impressed at some of the work they've done in the last year for justice reform, supporting black-owned businesses, and theres a chance for more women on their board. Their climate initiatives seem awfully safe though, would like to see some bold moves.

TIL you don't have to install Android apps to use , , and mobile services.

They're all available through mobile web clients just fine, and only get your location (only) when you're using it for what you need to do.

With Fennec (Firefox) on Android you can even install a handy icon on your launcher screen to tap.

What other apps can be replaced by mobile web experiences?
