So happy to have my #Ubiquiti network gear back online!

Lesson learned. #Ubiquiti is the only one I'll be using going forward for ANY networking stuff. This stuff, well, it just works.

So last night I was able to get my all my LAN gear working behind my #Ubiquiti USG Gateway on my Bell HomeHub 4000 in a DMZ. With the Home Hub 4000, you can't put it in bridge mode or turn off Wi-Fi, so I changed the Hub's subnet to 192.168.69.0/24 and the Wi-Fi name to something other than Bell123. I then put my wife's gear onto that Wi-Fi. I then plugged in my USG into the Hub & enabled the DMZ. I kept the "old" 192.168.1.0/24 subnet for the DMZ and everything fired up without issue.

Been patiently waiting for Ubiquiti to release the Unifi Dream Wall for at least a year now for US customers. What’s the holdup? There’s clearly interest. Selling on eBay for $11K is ridiculous. Might have to start looking for alternative options. Maybe Rukus? #Ubiquiti

#Ubiquiti Unifi system is a piece of shit, can't install a controller I have a weird tls error, and some java exceptions not verry helpful. I successfully install a 6.2.26-15319-1 version on Ubuntu 20.04 but the 6.4.54-16067-1 doesn't work on Debian Bulleye

So #Ubiquiti #Unifi is shitty or not for me, need an fucking account and a mobile app for just setup an access point, and I pretty sure I need a "Unifi console" for multiple ones in the same LAN for 802.11r support ...
So if you plan to use ubiquiti devices in your network, you might need to choose to have all ubiquiti devices, if you want something "simple".
