I'm not Scottish (well partly because my father was) or in the photography community, but where to start?

You will be spoilt for choice. Islands I've been to other than Skye, which all have fabulous views:
Mull
Iona
Arran
Lewis & Harris
Ulva
Kerrera
Lismore
Eigg
Rum
Muck

Then there are the mountains. Some spectacular views around Glencoe & Killin - best to climb a munro or two for the perfect view. ;)
