I’ve been adding so much #MSG (monosodium glutamate) to the small bowl of soup I have for dinner everyday that it doesn’t even taste #umami when I add a teaspoon (15 mL) of regular salty Kikkoman #soy sauce to it. 😂

Why choose? Both are spicy and #umami amps. So went with the W. #African pepper paste as a base added to browned onions, then chopped 🍅, garlic, turmeric, bit of cumin & coriander powders and cooked down a bit before mixing in a couple of eggs for an #Indian style bhurji - finished with chopped cilantro, a bit of red onion and the #Nepali Timur* ko chhop that's typically a relish anyway.

@ofseleg Eg har fleire gonger brukt #gamalost (frå Vik) i staden for #parmesan på pasta/spaghetti. Ikkje heilt det same, men absolutt godt, og masse #umami. Heia gamalost!

Sprinkling some MSG onto your food when you're cooking makes it Fucking Tasty. Really. I cannot emphasise that enough.
