I also keep visiting the same places & remembering that I've been there before, like an ongoing dream life.

Something about these dreams is also extra potent where I wake up & get flashes of intense feelings & have to remind my awake self that none of it actually happened.

How #AI systems like #ChatGPT show up in our consciousness says a lot more about us than it does about AI itself.

These systems are created out of vast data collections of human origin and, in turn, we experience these systems in terms of the collective #unconscious projecting our own metaphorical self-understanding back onto them. AI functions essentially as a philosophical funhouse mirror.

It is a digital diving bell sinking deep into the archetypal underbelly of the entire collective internet. But as we explore the shadowy darkness of this great digital ocean, I believe we will find the shiny surface of a mirror staring back at us.

Consider this an uneducated personal opinion from a non-professional hobbyist "artist," but one area I can see #AIart excelling at is #conceptart

#Midjourney is very good at generating random but highly archetypal conceptual environments and characters based on pre-existing cultural tropes, like this "elven city." It's basically an archetypal idea generator on steroids that taps into the collective imaginal #unconscious of the entire human #internet.
