I updated my UniFi controller this past weekend and now my FlexHD keeps dropping some SSIDs or just stops working all together. Not sure what is up with it but it is getting annoying.

@privateger OFC if you just want to fumble around and only need more than 1GBaseT, you'd likely be sufficiently covered with a cheap unmanaged switch.

#UniFi only fills the needs for anyone who isn't satisfyable with a cheap #CPE like a #FritzBox or whatever, and for that they do rock that segment for SMEs and professional users.

Considering Cisco requires subscriptions to use their shit, #Ubiquiti actually sells good stuff.

It's just not what you want and/or need.

I love the #Unifi Ecosystem. It works so fluent and well.

Can't wait until my new home installation is done to get to the networking part and finish the 19" rack in the basement 🤩

New to advanced #HomeNetworking, but I just got gigabit fiber and am looking to setup #Ubiquiti #UniFi. Am I good to go with a UDM SE and a couple U6 Mesh access points? This is a 1500 sq ft apartment with lots of walls, so I figure one AP for the living room and one for the office should be enough.

Does anyone know of a professional monitoring service that accepts alarms through an API that doesn't require their own hardware? I want to make a DIY #securitysystem that uses #homeassistant to dispatch requests for assistance. I've had a terrible time with simplisafe's range on their wireless protocol. I'd rather set up my own with #zwave and #UniFi Protect Smart Sensors that I can feel confident about and only pay for professional monitoring, not remote access or anything else. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I got sold on HomeBridge several months ago.

I am predominately a #SmartThings ecosystem, and needed to expand my coverage.

I spun up #HomeBridge in a container, and grabbed plug-ins for #SmartThings, #Miele, #NestCam, #HarmonyHub, #MyQ and #Ubiquiti #Unifi

Now everything is a bit more complete. My automations can follow me to my AppleTV, and IPhone. Bonus points that my garage door opener also appears on my CarPlay Home Screen too.

It’s important not to resist integrating across the various ecosystems, when you can make your life easier

Finally making some progress on my network by ditching pfsense for unifi. I actually got myself in the crawl space to re-route my WAN coax upstairs to get the rack out of the living room, and did a little bit of cable management. All while improving my PSR. (Partner satisfaction rating for the uninitiated)
