Rede da casa nova, quase pronta e quase tão boa quanto a última.
The APs don’t seem to mind being unplugged for extended periods; if there were some way of hijacking them onto my own UniFi controller, such that I could restore them in a year to the MSP one without their intervention (or at least nothing they’d bill £££ for / the landlord would get too stroppy about…) that’d be ideal.
Many thanks in advance if anyone is able to advise :o
time to try some hashtags… (thread above 🧵)

@dmnelson ah ok 👍
From #unifi I have the small PoE Switch and the AP AC Pro (wifi5)
Last year or year before I replaced the USG with a #protectli FW4B running #pfsense.
This works really really well but wanted to look into Wifi6 as more and more devices get support.
Yesterday my #unifi controller VM disk (8 GB) filled up so that the controller couldn’t start.
I made some changes and somehow broke the controller.
Sad thing, I needed to go to Christmas party of my wife’s company and grandpa should look after my son. So WiFi and Internet had to work. 😬
Luckily I had #backups. The restore in #Proxmox using pbs took 3 minutes. (Will have a look at #mongodb today)
So happy the backup and restore stuff of whole VM works smoothly.
Happy weekend 🎉

Just found a switch in the #Unifi Network controller software to change to the "New User Interface".
Who is even using this??? 🙄
I spent an hour figuring out why APs connected to #Unifi Dream Machine Pro weren't powering up just to find out it doesn't have any PoE ports. 🤦
I should really read the specs more carefully next time.
And the Dream Machine Pro doesn't look so dreamy any more.
