Going back to a cut from #Unique3's Jus Unique album. This was never released as a 12" so the sort of track you'd only hear in the darkest corners of a trip. I like how the odd bleep is modulated but otherwise things are kept pretty minimal.

I started #BleepOfTheDay with #Unique3.

#DeightonTaskForce consisted of Unique 3 members and #DrumAndBass producer #LDouble

Only a single white label exists from the group, it's an absolute scorcher.

Again it's #HipHop but at the faster tempo UK heads were feeling.

As beats got faster, more tunes became instrumentals, giving birth to #Hardcore and then #Jungle.

Maybe I'll turn this into some long running series of later 1989-90 bleepy, breaky music from the UK.

Often seems like a forgotten little corner of music.
#Unique3 were probably my favourite crew at that time. Hailing from Bradford, the group mashed up Dancehall toasting to straight up raps or soulful vocals over bleeps and breaks.

#TheTheme was a massive track on pirate radio in 89.
