Here's a question:

Do you participate in some sort of religious practice? Do you draw meaning from a particular religious text? I've been conversing with a good Christian acquaintance.

I tend to associate with the Unitarian Universalists, who generally play fast and loose with their core beliefs and rituals. My friend is a KJV-fan. I personally love & strongly prefer my bilingual NIV/NVI bible. I think Christian universalism is a position worth proper consideration of, at the least.

I don't think about it for superficial reasons. I believe there are solid biblical arguments for the position. On the personal side, how is one supposed to find peace believing virtually everyone is going to burn? My impression of the core translation and interpretation questions is that at least souls can die instead of suffering eternally.
