British-American actress Evelyn Ankers has stood out in films like The Wolf Man, Ghost of Frankenstein and the Rathbone Sherlock Holmes series.
She never really made it in A pictures but brightened up many a programmer!

Who's your favourite classic universal monster?
I saw them as a kid, but never thought that much of them compared to the Val Lewton/Hammer/AIP movies of the 40s/50s/60s. Those had much better developed characters and better scripts.
The Invisible Man was my favourite as a kid as it was closer to the source material but I have to say, rewatching them now, I find the fairytale, expressionistic sets and B/W photography mesmerising.
