You only have to live and work in Oxford or Cambridge to realise the entrenched power and wealth that colleges have, up and above the university itself. There is little scrutiny of their financial activities and their alumni are entirely devoted to the college not the uni.

BBC is full of Oxbridge alumni who can’t see the wood for the trees when looking at this bias, particularly on #UniversityChallenge where it is writ large.

Always thought #UniversityChallenge was biased in favour of Oxbridge colleges. Allowing each college to enter a team is completely bonkers when the degrees are awarded by just two universities: Oxford and Cambridge.
