I've got another #UnlimitedDungeons (#DungeonWorld) game this weekend, so this evening was stage 1 of prep: Getting the paperwork in order. Printing off rules reference sheets and a set of playbooks, and getting everything organized for transport. (This session might be hosted elsewhere.)

Looking at the #UnlimitedDungeons variant rules, it feels similar to the excellent #AncestryAndCulture framework for #5E, which could probably be adapted to #DCC. https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/314622/Ancestry--Culture-An-Alternative-to-Race-in-5e

Another commenter helpfully pointed out that there are published “hacks,” or variant rules for #DungeonWorld that address this problem—see #UnlimitedDungeons https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1L5E7LSqEmo5mA5LX2g4pfmjC_4vYKpyn . Perhaps there’s something similar for #DungeonCrawlClassics.

@johncarneyau #DungeonWorld definitely has some outdated values, and the other creator has lamented this fact. I prefer to run #UnlimitedDungeons, which helps to avoid some of the issues, combined with the guidance of #DungeonsAndDirectActions to steer away from the "kill things and take their stuff" mindset.

I've been doing some PDF hacking to create some simplified #UnlimitedDungeons (#DungeonWorld) #TTRPG playbooks in Affinity Publisher. Pleased to say that it's working out quite nicely, though I've made more work for myself than originally intended.
