For years we have been told that final year projects MUST be double-marked, and that exams scripts MUST be moderated, so that the mark can be considered to be "safe". Of course, this incurs more work, but it's in the regulations and is definitely a good thing! But apparently, that's no longer the case, a single marker is apparently sufficient, and moderation is not necessary.
