Subsistence Green Farming

The war in Ukraine has shown the fragility of the supply chain of #chemicalfertilizers that is so crucial to the feed of humanity. This fragility has been allowed to sustain, even though there is the option of developing and applying #Biofertilizers for #farming, a sort of #GreenFarming. The hurdle has been the lack of structured inexpensive development of Biofertilizers. The consequential economic crash as anticipated by many and the derivative famine also anticipated has made the need for the pervasive production of small scale production of Biofertilizers as critical to the survival of many lives in the years to come.

Accordingly, the development and training on the empirical oriented technology for biofertilizers productions and farm-use of biofertilizers are decidedly being advanced through publications of rather empirical oriented articles on #SubsistenceGreenFarming for the general masses. The object is have everyone interested in not suffering famine to be able to produce biofertilizers in the one's backyard or garden, which can be used to support #domesticfarming for self feed self or #urbanfarming for #community feed.

Moreover, scientists not trained in #ChemicalEngineering or #BiochemicalEngineering will also benefit from the articles as the publications will also invariably teach DIY #algaecultivation methodology. Such should inform newbies on fundamentals of algae cultivation without going broke

Quail report today.

When i entered covy 2s habitat today, the 6 girls that are in that covey gathered around my boots and whistled at me. It was a piping, high pitched "wheee" . They were repeating it as they milled around looking for the food i bring them.

It is a new sound they are making. They usually say nothing or make sounds that are a quiet "huh?" Or an alarmed sounding croak "e-chee, e‐chee" . The e-chee is a common couternix quail (domestic) call. Usually made when they are alarmed. Norda, from covy1 makes it too.

Norda is a lone older quail who lives in a cage that sits on top of a box house in the center of covey2's habitat. Norda and the ladies of covy2 can see and hear one another.

She has been peeping down at them since i moved her from her former covey's now empty habitat last week. Her old covey mates passed from old age over the fall. She is the last.

Anyway, Norda went "wheeee" as well. It seems they are making new common sounds together.

Very curious. I checked all around the habitat for signs of intruders, in case they were warning each other. (Quail do that). There were none, and they weren't acting distressed at all.

Gilda, the boy, is sequestered (because the girls beat him up) in yet another condo-within the habitat, above the floor on stilts

He didn't make the sound. He randomly crows comically but wasn't acting any differently than usual male-quail silliness.

Don't know what it is, or means but was charmed listening to them. I might try putting norda on the floor to see if they are trying to unite with her. I'll have to hang out with them though. She's fragile.

Hey, everyone

My partner and I are currently working on a docuseries, @Elememts_of_MA, about the origins, structures, healing ways, and logistics of mutual aid-based organizing. The project isn't exclusively profiling anarchist groups, but it is deeply anti-authoritarian - we're especially staying away from charismatic leaders and celeb "activist" types.

The whole thing is independent - no producers; everything is out of pocket. We've been living out of a van we converted so we could make this happen; which has been amazing. We've been on the road since May Day this year, and have already filmed some solid interviews as far north as Montreal and as far south as Puerto Rico.

However, I'm personally struggling to find Black organizations or collectives that aren't MLM, AADOS, authoritarian, Black Capitalist, nonprofit style groups. Reading and theory groups or media collectives are rad, but I'm really looking for groups that're doing interesting work on the ground (*not food distro*) from an anti-state-nationalist analysis.

Lorenzo and JoNina Irvin will appear in the film, among other radical Black people like Jessica Gordon Nembhard, The Northeast Action Collective in Houston, and Arm the Girls in Oakland. So, I'm not at a complete loss.

But, please send me all the rad groups of Black people you know that are creating long-term, democratic, mutual aid projects in their communities. They do not need to identify as anarchist, but they *cannot* be down with the nation state and have to be doing more than food distro.

Beyond all that, I'm also really interested in connecting with people to write Star Wars analysis and fan-fiction. I think the galaxy far, far away is an interesting canvas to explore the tensions of autonomous world building vs authoritarian revolutionary movements. If I lived in that universe, I'd no doubt be getting into arguments with the Rebel Alliance.
