The "Hackesche Höfe" in Berlin are an ensemble of eight residential and commercial courtyards built in 1906 and now listed as historic monuments.
The picture shows the eastern facades of the first courtyard in blue and white, with large windows in round and pointed arches. People stroll around or sit in outdoor areas of cafés and restaurants.
