I finished reading this book today! It's nice bit of escapism to learn about various success stories while living thru struggles due to car-centric sprawl city design & its effects on healthy city living

I experienced mental health improvements moving from distant freeway-adjacent apt in Tukwila to smaller transit-friendly apt in Beacon Hill in summer 2021. Being closer to friends, work, etc makes me feel more connected to the community

Highly recommend this @nerd4cities video below! Some spoilers, but, anecdotally, I knew nothing about urbanism or transit until I moved to from the suburbs of Texas. After seeing that and can work in the US, and that it can be done on a local and regional level, I was motivated to volunteer and advocate to keep pushing the boundary!

As an & , I am interested in capturing life & changes in a city. After my morning shoot in another location, I walked along Amsterdam Centraal Station and caught this view between the bicycle racks with a dramatic morning sky.

Designed by Delugan Meissl Asso. Architects. It contain the national film archives as well as 4 cinemas, an exhibition space & a restaurant.
