@izaya I can recommend #pfSense's #CARP-based redundancy as unlike #VRRP it's open source, secure and does good redundancy in a hot-spare 1+1 config.

OFC you can do CARP manually and even use #Userspace-CARP on #Linux but I tend to choose simpler configs in favour of every little optimization possible.

Verdammt, mein auf #OpenMediaVault basierender Homeserver mit Backup und diversen #Docker-Containern (inkl. #Nextcloud) ist sang- und klanglos einfach abgeraucht.

Zum Glück hat die #Fritzbox 4040 mittels #keepalived und #vrrp sofort die virtuelle IP für #DNS- und #RADIUS-Server übernommen.
