@FroTheBeard I believe #vaultwarden is the self-hosted version of #bitwarden.
What about putting more critical passwords (e.g. domain admins) on a different internal instance of #VaultWarden than the normal users’ internal instance?
How do people feel about #BitWarden vs. #VaultWarden? Is it overkill to want to host your company passwords in house to avoid BitWarden being too juicy a target? Having a discussion with IT.
It's been a month and a half of using #Bitwarden, and I do not miss #LastPass a bit. Everything works as expected (web) or better (Android).
The only thing LastPass has done "better" is auto-login me when I visit sites. But Bitwarden's Ctrl+Shift+L shortcut is just as useful and probably better, as now entering credentials is purposeful on my part.
tl;dr: Bitwarden's great. If I were more adventurous, I might would've tried #Vaultwarden but alas.

After running #vaultwarden for about a month with the whole family migrated over, I finally deleted all of our #lastpass accounts. Was a little bit concerned about off site backups for a self-hosted password solution so I'm doing what I do for many of my other important backups - using #backblaze. Anyone else doing anything interesting for offsite #backups for their home services? I only back up the absolute must have items myself outside of replication of data within my own house using #zfs.

I guess I'm going to install #vaultwarden on my pi and use that as the family password manager at this point.
@tony Congrats! I'm evaluating #VaultWarden today and I'm hoping to switch there from #keepass.
Status on my #vaultWarden eval:
✅ run in a test instance
✅ import existing #keepass store
⏺️ evaluate desktop and mobile clients
⏺️ deploy behind #Traefik proxy

Add me to the list of #lastpass refugees moving to #BitWarden (specifically #Vaultwarden). Made the decision when they first announced the security breach on Dec 1 so I’ve been using it for about a month. Liked Lastpass due to the ease of use but I’m glad to see others have caught up or surpassed them. I host tons of my own services, mostly in #docker, but I am on the fence long term if I want to avoid a cloud based password manager or not. Biggest self-hosting concerns are security and DR.

Anybody have any opinions on #vaultwarden, a self-hosted, open source #passwordManager server?
It's a re-implementation of #bitwarden server, but SIGNIFICANTLY lighterweight.

@zippy1981 due to lack of browser autofill, i recommend #bitwarden you can even host the server yourself if you want - i recommend the #vaultwarden server tho
@WPalant switched from #Lastpass to #Vaultwarden this week after using LastPass for the past five years or more.
If you wanna keep save your passwords, dont use Lastpass o any similar app, please use some similar #FOSS app like Keepass or #Bitwarden. Personally i've been using #Vaultwarden for about 3 years.

So, nebenbei auch noch gleich meine eigene #Bitwarden Instanz mit #Vaultwarden hochgezogen. Ziemlich gutes Ding muss ich sagen...
